The compassion of tailors
Grimm reports that beans have black seams
because a distant ancestor of our
modern beans laughed so hard
at her friends’ misfortunes
that she needed
stitching back
together.
Well,
my beans
must have been
laughing very hard indeed;
instead of thin black seams,
they are wearing big black patches.
I wonder what they found so funny…?

Another wonderful extrapolation from nature into fantasy, or visa versa.
